Wale

Wale Victor Folarin (born Olubowale Victor Akintimehin September 21, 1984), better known by his stage name Wale is an American rapper from Washington, D.C.. Wale was born to Nigerian immigrant parents. He rose to prominence in 2006, when his song "Dig Dug (Shake It)" became popular in his hometown. Wale became locally recognized and continued recording music for the regional audience. Producer Mark Ronson discovered Wale in 2006 and signed him to Allido Records in 2007. While signed to that label, Wale released several mixtapes and appeared in national media including MTV and various urban magazines. In 2008, Wale signed to Interscope Records for .3 million, and his debut album Attention Deficit was released in 2009 with the singles "Chillin", "Pretty Girls", and "World Tour". The album, although under-shipped, received positive reviews from critics. Wale is currently signed on with Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group, where members of the label released a compilation album, Self Made Vol. 1 on May 23, 2011.

Miguel

Bystorm/Jive recording artist Miguel is busy at work on his freshman masterpiece tentatively titled, Gravity. A captivating singer, songwriter, producer, and performer, Miguel fuses funk, hip-hop, and electro music creating a unique sound that defies genre. Miguel first amassed underground attention for his collaborations with Blu on "Below the Heavens." Subsequent interest and demand prompted the release of "Mischief-The Mixtape," a collection of 7 completely original songs by Miguel which has been featured on popular web sites such as Okayplayer, 2DopeBoyz, and Imeem. Now his song, "Sure Thing," boasts over 4.5 million Myspace plays from a fan-base as worldly as Miguel. Having performed numerous times throughout the Los Angeles area, Miguel has electrified hipsters, industry tastemakers, hip-hop heads and all who have witnessed his inspirational show. While enhancing his stage presence, Miguel has also been featured on Asher Roth's debut album Asleep in the Bread Aisle, and has co-wrote "If U Leave," the #1 single from Musiq and Mary J. Blige. Currently, Miguel is also working with Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, and The Avila Brothers on Usher's forthcoming album, Raymond V Raymond.
