Overseas Property Investments is becoming the main option for those of us who still want to make quick money in the real estate market. Yes, there are many articles online touting improved performance in North American real estate markets, but both Canada and the U.S are far from “buyers markets”. This is why so many of us savvy investors are looking to diversify into foreign real estate markets. This said, when I first made this decision I got a bit overwhelmed. I ended up focusing on the Caribbean region, due to its fantastic emerging markets, but initially I felt that my unfamiliarity with the housing markets in the region could lead me into making a high risk investment. All investments, especially short term investments which are my area of interest, contain an element of risk, but I have minimized this through due diligence research. When I started looking at different areas, my lack of knowledge made the risk feel too great. This feeling caused me to wipe the slate clean and stick with the investment formula which has always made me money domestically: trends, industry, transportation and immigration. Using these four elements as the basis of your due diligence research can minimize your risk and lead you to investments that will make you money. My initial issues before investing in the Caribbean led me to write an article series, in case anyone else has been facing the same difficulties. This is the final part looking at immigration but I would urge you to keep a look out for the first three parts.Immigration is a huge indicator of the strength of overseas property investments potential. Immigration into an area raises incomes because it equals more consumers, more workers which in turn actually raises income levels in the area. More goods and services produced to make up for the increased demand within the area. Within the real estate market more people looking for housing, which pushes prices up. The increased levels of bought goods and services benefits the local economy which creates a boom, which attracts even more immigration. This is as true for the international real estate market as it is for the domestic. Foreign investment comes into the area leading to better living standards and education, increasing economic activity in the area, especially in the real estate industry. This leads to even more foreign investment as potential investors start viewing the area as a potential “boom” region and want to get in on the early cycle. Investment in transport infrastructure then takes place to enable easier business dealing and facilitates growth in the tourist industry. So, immigration is a massive indicator of investment opportunity. Information about immigration is easily available, both from your own government and also from international bodies like the International Monetary Fund (IMF). If you don’t enjoy going through tons of raw data (who does!) great regional round ups can be found in specialist investment or financial publications aimed at the region you are interested in.Making major money in overseas property investments IS possible and does not have to mean huge amounts of risk. Just follow the foundations of real estate investment in North American markets and you can successfully and profitably diversify your investment portfolio.

Claims that immigrants take Americans’ jobs, are a drain on the American economy, contribute to poverty and inequality, destroy the social fabric, challenge American identity, and contribute to a host of social ills by their very existence are openly discussed and debated at all levels of society. Chomsky dismantles twenty of the most common assumptions and beliefs underlying statements like “I’m not against immigration, only illegal immigration” and challenges the misinformation in clear, strai

The immigration courts are in a period of intense crisis and breakdown, at a moment in history when America’s immigration policy is being challenged and redefined. Congress has debated an overhaul of the immigration system since 2006, but proposals for fixing the courts have been largely ignored. The American Bar Association released a 510-page report in February, 2010, revealing that a total of 231 immigration judges hear more than 300,000 cases a year, an average of 1,200 for each judge, or

During his state of the union address Tuesday, President Barack Obama reiterated a call for comprehensive immigration reform, including giving responsible young people a chance to earn their citizenship. (Jan. 24)
Question by random person: illegal immigration?
why do people insist that not wanting illegal immigrants means anti-mexican. Ilegal immigrant means anyone who does not go through the proper steps to get to our country, which can be anyone from any country. I have nothing against mexicans just the illegal ones, and not just the illegal mexicans the illegal germans, italians, and anyone else. If I went to live in another country and became a citizen, I would be outraged if people were comeing over illegaly. I am not anti immigration or anti mexican I am anti illegal immigration!!!

I have to write a compare/contrast essay on the immigration situation in the late 19th/early 20th century compared to the immigration situation to now. My book has everything I need on the situation in the time period stated, but I am not sure on the immigration situation today. Could anyone maybe give me a few points on what it is like today or maybe some websites?
Thanks in advance for any help.
